Yesterday I’ve reacieved my certificate and letter of evaluation from the School of Professional Education at Columbia University for my participation in Introduction to Engineering.
Looking back from know, the three week program has thought me a lot. Not the professional knowldge itself, but the way such industry works.
Frankly speaking, I was born in a family of engineers: My father tought EE as a professor, my grandmother is communications engineer, and my grandfather used to build roads in one of the most remote region of China. My mother, though not titled “engineers”, is a toxicologist, which in my concern at that time, a branch of biomedical engineering.
That being said,
For the first time, I added an organ to a person…
This was my second time participating in mathematical modeling (P.S. actually, is it the third time? Since IMMC is a two-stage competition)… Anyway, it’s over, and truly in every sense, it was a sweaty endeavor.
